Brainstorm a list of challenges teachers may encounter when involving students in the assessment process.

• Students misunderstanding the point of assessments
• Students not understanding the requirements
• Students not understanding the material enough to judge quality of a peer's work
• Students not being truthful on peer assessments, ie. helping their friends but not their "enemies"
• Students trying to "scam" the process by making assessments easier to fulfill
